 MAKE
 IT LAND

CONTINUING EDUCATION COURSE

A repeatable process for explaining your expertise to the people who need to understand it. (And care enough to act!)

I'm here to show you how to fix it.

Any of these sound familiar?

Your work matters, but it isn't getting traction with the clients, funders, and community members who need to act on it.

You've been burned when someone simplified your work and the result was dumbed down...and wrong.

You find yourself getting lost in the details of a project long before anyone else understands what it's even about.

There's a running joke in your family that you must be a secret agent since no one knows quite what you do.

You're not alone.

Even the most accurate explanation can miss the mark if it's full of insider words and unnecessary detail, or if it isn't framed for your intended audience.

Small-Group Training  |  $495

APPLY IT TO YOUR WORK

Bring a real communication challenge to a small-group training where you'll learn the Four-Step Clarity Framework, discuss how it applies to your work, and get personalized help directly from Sarah.

Limited to eight participants per session.

Attendees get everything in the On Demand course, plus:

Before the Training: Bring Your Own Challenge

Submit a short example of something you're struggling to communicate clearly. It might be a technical explanation, a proposal, an investor update, or a message that just isn't connecting with its intended audience.

I'll review your example ahead of time so I can understand the challenge you're facing and be prepared to help you work through it.

During the Training: One-Hour Course + One Hour Group Discussion & Q&A

Learn the Four-Step Clarity Framework directly from me in an interactive, small-group setting. We'll work through examples, explore real-world communication challenges, and discuss how the framework applies to different audiences, industries, and professional situations.

Bring your questions! With no more than eight participants, we'll have plenty of time for Q&A, meaningful discussion, and the flexibility to tailor the conversation to the professionals in the (Zoom) room.

After the Training: Your Private 30-Minute Consultation

Meet with me one-on-one to focus on the communication challenge you submitted before the training. We'll work through your example together, identify what's getting in the way of your message, and discuss specific changes that will help it connect with your intended audience.

You'll leave with personalized guidance you can put to work immediately, along with a repeatable process for tackling future communication challenges.

MEET SARAH

Sarah Warren is the founder of Serif+Sway, where she helps scientists, engineers, founders, and other experts get their messages to the right people in the right way.

Her sweet spot is where strategy, writing, technical translation, and brand development overlap—turning deep expertise into compelling communication that people can understand, trust, and act on.

Before launching Serif+Sway, Sarah spent nearly 20 years communicating on behalf of engineers and scientists at a Tier One research university. She then spent two years helping launch and grow professional-development programs for financial planners through strategic marketing, web content, and corporate partnerships.

Throughout her career, Sarah has translated complex information without stripping away what makes it meaningful. Her work has helped raise millions of dollars, bring expert voices and important ideas to national audiences, and connect organizations with the people who need them most.

A process you can use again and again

YOU WALK AWAY WITH

In Make It Land, you’ll learn how to explain complex information to the people you need to understand it. I'll guide you through the four-step process I use with my own clients.

We’ll move beyond simplifying words to the deeper strategic questions that determine what belongs, what gets in the way, and what will make your audience care. â€‹It starts with the Clarity Barriers, but that's only the beginning.

We'll cover:

  • Recognizing why an accurate explanation still isn’t connecting

  • Making confident decisions about what to keep, cut, explain, or emphasize

  • Preserving meaningful complexity while reducing unnecessary friction

  • Adapting your message for different audiences and situations

  • Applying the same decision-making process to future communications

Continuing Education and Professional Development Credit

Other professionals who may find the webinar useful include planners, REALTORS®, home builders, contractors, skilled-trades professionals, educators, human resources professionals, and many others.

Depending on your licensing or credentialing rules, Make It Land may qualify as elective credit or as training in areas such as:

  • Professional communication

  • Stakeholder engagement

  • Leadership

  • Client relations

  • Practice management

To find out whether it may count for you, email hello@serifandsway.com with:

  • Your profession or credential

  • The name of your licensing board or credentialing organization

  • Any specific documentation or provider requirements

We’ll review the requirements and let you know whether we can provide the necessary documentation. We can’t guarantee that a board or association will approve the webinar, but we’ll make sure you know exactly what documentation you’ll receive.

Serif+Sway does not seek advance approval from every state board, licensing body, or professional association. Requirements vary, and the final decision to accept a course always belongs to the organization that maintains your license or credential. Attendees are responsible for confirming eligibility and submitting the documentation.
